Process for cooling a charge of products, especially foodstuff products, of the type in which a liquefied gas, especially liquid CO2 , is vaporized within a receptacle (2 ; 102) containing said charge and maintained at a pressure above the atmospheric pressure by an preset discharge organ (7) through which the excess gas is whithdrawn, characterized in that - the admission of cold gas in the receptacle (2 ; 102) is controlled to maintain the temperature prevailing in this receptacle at a predetermined value below 0 degree C and above the temperature of vaporization of the liquefied gas at the said pressure, and - the excessive gas ist heated to a temperature above 0 degree C before withdrawing it through the preset discharge organ.</p> |
