PURPOSE:To make the immersion of water in a ball positively possible in a low vacuum and contrive to make a pumping device small and economical, by a method wherein a ball press device is provided which presses balls by the differential pressure between the inner pressure and the outer pressure of a vessel, and push out the air in a ball. CONSTITUTION:When a proper quantity of water 11 and balls 8 are put in the vessel 1, and the vessel 1 is closed tightly with a cover 2, and the air in the vessel 1 is drawn out by a vacuum pump 5, the differential pressure Po-Pi between the atmosphere pressure Po and the pressure Pi in a ball immersion room 1b works to a press plate 4, and the power is produced to press sponge balls 8 proportionately to the inner area of the press plate 4. The press plate 4 is lowered by this power, and the air in the balls 8 are drawn out by being pressed and compressed, and this air is excluded effectively to the outside, according as inside of the vessel 1 is made vacuum by a vacuum pump 5, and after the vacuum is raised to the determined value, the vessel is returned to the atmosphere pressure by opening a valve 7, the surrounding water immersing instead of the air excluded from the balls 8 and the balls can be sufficiently flooded. Accordingly, the vacuum device also can be made small. |
