PURPOSE:An acetal resin composition, obtained by incorporating carbon with a low content of oxygen functional groups present on the surface with an acetal resin and having improved weather resistance, etc., without deteriorating the thermal stability. CONSTITUTION:An acetal resin composition obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts. wt. acetal resin, preferably oxymethylene homopolymer or oxymethylene copolymer with (B) 0.001-50pts.wt. carbon having <=150mu equivalent based on 1g oxygen functional groups, e.g. carboxyl groups, carbonyl groups, lactone groups or phenolic hydroxyl groups, on the surface or carbon prepared by neutralizing carbon having >150mu equivalent oxygen functional groups on the surface thereof with an alkaline substance, e.g. sodium hydroxide, in an aqueous solution to give <=150mu equivalent content of the oxygen functional groups.
