The base comprises a rectangular frame and a steel wire mesh-work secured at either side to the longitudinal frame members. The mesh-work consists of inter-wound, e.g. double-wire, windings (6). - Longitudinally spaced transversely extending portions of the mesh-work are strengthened by increasing the number of wires, e.g. from two to four in these portions.
