PURPOSE:To facilitate assembling of cell while to prevent crack in the positive electrode can when sealing and to improve the leak resistance by employing two phase system stainless steel of austenite.ferrite for the positive electrode can. CONSTITUTION:Positive electrode can 1 is made of two phase stainless steel of austenite.ferrite through restriction machining while negative electrode can 3 is made of copper-stainless steel-nickel clad board. When assembling the cell, electrolyte is partially injected into the positive electrode can 1 then positive electrode black mix 2 is inserted into the positive electrode can 1 to impregnate the black mix 2 with the electrolyte thereafter a separator 5 is pushed onto the black mix 2. While a gasket 6 is fitted around the negative electrode can 3 then negative electrode black mix 4 is filled to inject the majority of electrolyte thereafter a portion of electrolyte is injected into the negative can 3 to invert the positive electrode black mix 2 and the positive electrode can 1 incorporating the separator 5 thus to fit the positive electrode can 1 while holding the bottom through magnetic force and to fasten the open end section 1a of the positive electrode can 1 inwardly resulting in a cell assembly. |
