PURPOSE:To obtain the information of a desired program by storing successively the information to a file when the program name of the desired program, a keyword, etc., are set beforehand and the coincident program in the programs to be successively received is obtained. CONSTITUTION:A user selects the desired program out of a receiving list 9 prepared at the time of receiving the character broadcasting, designates the identifier from a keyboard 11, and thereby, reads the character screen data of said program from a receiving file 10. On the other hand, the titled and storing addresses of respective videos in a video file 17 and the information such as the keyword to show the contents of respective videos are stored in a registering table 15 beforehand. Searching 16 decides whether or not the keyword set by the registering table 15 is included in the character screen data read from the receiving file 10. When such a keyword is included, the video corresponding to the keyword is read from the video file 17, and displayed at a display 14 together with the character picture data read from the receiving file 10.
