PURPOSE:To permit to detect the temperature of solid particles correctly by providing a temperature sensor for detecting the solid particle temperature below the lower end of a guide tube connected to the solid particles dropping hole of a partitioning plate provided with an intake port of cooling gas. CONSTITUTION:High-temperature solid particles are thrown into a casing 1 through a throwing port 10 and are cooled by the cooling gas blown off from the venting holes 5 of the partitioning plate 2 through intake port 9 while the gas, after effecting heat exchange, is discharged from a chamber 3 through a gas discharging port 11. The cooled solid particles are reserved in the bottom of the casing 1 through the dropping holes 6 and the guide tubes 8 and is extracted by the rotation of a rotary valve 12a. The temperature of the reserved solid particles is detected by the temperature sensor 13 arranged below the guide tube 8 while the rotating speed of a motor 12b is controlled by the signal of a discharging speed control means 14 and the temperature of the solid particles is controlled in a predetermined value. Thus, the temperature of the solid particles after cooling may be detected correctly without being affected by the cooling gas.
