PURPOSE:To make the device small-sized, light and low cost and to decrease the number of the parts by changing over simultaneously the linking condition from the motor of the transmitting side transporting driving system and the receiving side transporting driving system by the change-over driving source. CONSTITUTION:In the input output device used for the terminal equipment such as a facsimile, the paper advances to the left side after recording, and the paper is discharged by a discharging roller 5 after it is cut by the cutter composed of a fixed blade 11 and a rotating blade 12. At such a time, a recording part 10 is shifted to the left side for the half only of (a), or a feeding roller is shifted to the right side for the same quantity and the part is contacted to the feeding roller (platen roller), and thereby, the suitable recording can be executed. The residual paper after cutting is pulled back up to the initial position by a feeding roller 7 and a supplying roller 8. Thus, by shifting relatively in a fine quantity a head unit to form the reading part (closely tight sensor) and the recording part (thermal head) in a single body and one feeding roller 7 used for reading and writing, reading and recording can be respectively executed, the transporting path and the transporting driving system can be shared, the low price is widely improved and miniaturization can be easily executed.
