The antibiotic comprises cultivation of a transformed Actinomyces stock to give products of formula (I), where Y is a group selected from a set of (unidentified) groups. The cultivation medium contains carbon and nitrogen with or without inorganic salts, amino acids and/or vitamins. Agitation in air at 20-40 degrees and pH = 5-9, takes 1-10 days to give fermentation for final isolation.
