CONDUCTION HEAT GENERATING RECORDING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To relatively inexpensively constitute the title apparatus and to enable high speed recording on plain paper, by constituting a recording head from electrode needles. CONSTITUTION:A resistor layer consisting of carbon black and a synthetic resin is provided to the inside surface of a conductive heat generating film 1 and a conductive layer comprising an aluminum vapor deposition film is provided to the outside surface thereof. A plurality of recording electrode needles 3 protruded from a current supply head 2 are contacted with the surface of the resistor layer provided to the inside surface of the current supply heat generating film 1 and a return electrode 4 is contacted with the other part of the surface of said resistor layer. A thermal transfer film 5 consists of a base material and a heat-meltable solid ink layer and the heat-meltable solid ink layer is arranged in the side of recording paper 8. A recording current is allowed to flow to the selected electrode needle 3 from a drive circuit 9 and the resistor layer in the vicinity of the electrode needless 3 of the conductive heat generating film 1 is allowed to generate heat by the electrode needles 3. The current flowing through the resistor layer flows through the conductive layer provided to the outside surface of the current supply heat generating film 1 and the return electrode 4. The current supply heat generating film 1 generates heat by the electrode needles 3 and the ink layer of the thermal transfer film 5 is thermally transferred to the recording paper 8 by the generated heat to perform recording.
