<p>PURPOSE:To improve assembling efficiency of two planet shafts to each of which respective ones of pad-side planet gears and column-side planet gears are mounted by attaching an assembly of bearing unit for journalling the planet shafts to a boss plate of the planetary gear mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A steering wheel includes a planetary gear mechanism for keeping a pad portion unrotatable. In this case, there is provided an assembly of bearing unit 18 for journalling two planet shafts 4a, 5b to each of which respective ones of pad-side planet gears 5b, 25b engageable with a pad-side sun gear 3a and column-side planet gears 5b, 25b engageable with a column-side sun gear 3b. The bearing unit 18 is attached to a boss plate of the planetary gear mechanism. The bearing unit 18 is composed of two side plates 19, a supporting member 22 fixed to the outside central portions of the side plates 19 and slide bearings 20a, 20b fixed to the upper and lower end surfaces of the side plates 19.</p> |
