PURPOSE:To obtain a lead frame which has excellent corrosion resistance, excellent plating property and solderability by cladding Ni or Ni alloy in a base material made of Fe containing specific amount of Cr, specific amounts or less of C, Si, Mn, Al, and the residue of Fe. CONSTITUTION:A base material which contains by weight 5.0-10.5% of Cr, 0.10% or less of C, 2.0% or less of C, 2.0% or less of Si, 2.0% or less of 2.0, 0.10% or less of Al, and approximately the residue of Fe uses Ni- or Ni alloy- plated as a clad material 12. The Cr improves the plating property, heat resistance and corrosion resistance of the material. To obtain this effect, 5.0% or more is needed to be contained, if excess, it disturbs the plating property and solderability, and 10.5% or less is required. If the C is excess, the corrosion resistance and the solderability are deteriorated, and if the Si is excess, the solderability of the material is disturbed, the toughness of the material is disturbed. If the Mn is excess, the roughness of the material is deteriorated, and if the Al is excess, the solderability is disturbed, and the contents are required to be the above amounts or less. |
