PURPOSE:To enable smooth transmission of rotation by arranging a propeller shaft extending through a concave part of a U-shaped bracket connecting two frames constituting a running chassis thereby making the propeller shaft's deflection angle small enough within actual use limits. CONSTITUTION:In a running chassis 5 of a riding type rice transplanter 1, a transmission case 16 is arranged at the front wheel part and a rear axle case 17 at the rear wheel part. The both cases 16 and 17 are connected with two square cross-sectional pipe frames 19's. Engine power is transmitted to a paddy work device supported to be vertically moved by means of a link device 10 by way of a transplant transmission shaft 25, a universal joint 32 and a propeller shaft 33. Rear end parts of the two frames 19's of the running chassis 5 are fixed with a U-shaped bracket 37. The propeller shaft 33 is arranged to extend through a concave part 37a of the bracket 37.
