PURPOSE:To provide a coat molding for a metallic tube having a male thread part on an end of the tube, by a method wherein the male thread part is formed on an external circumferential surface part of the end of the metallic tube, a coating cap is fitted, synthetic resin coat is formed extending over the whole length of the tube and the coat is cut off along the opening fringe of a cap and removed along with the cap. CONSTITUTION:As for a metallic tube 1, male thread parts 6 for connection of the tubes are formed respectively on external circumferential surface parts of tube ends, to which caps 2 are fitted. A metallic tube is sent into through the end side by fitting a coupling fixture 7 in a crosshead die 3. When a succeeding metallic tube is sent in succession into a metallic tube, which has been sent into beforehand, the before and behind metallic tubes are connected with each other by thrusting a cylindrical part formed on a tapered surface 9 into the coupling fixture 7 fitted in the end part of the tip of the metallic tube and made to front on a rear end opening part of the precedent metallic pipe. Hereupon, synthetic resin coat 4 is formed on the surface of the tube and the same is pulled out. A coupling part is detected, the coat 4 is cut off, coupling of the metallic tubes is released by undoing the fitting of the coupling fixtures, the coat 4 is cut off along the opening fringe of the cap 2 and the male thread part 6 is made to expose by removing the cap from the end part of the tube. |
