PURPOSE:To obtain a compact, easy-to-see distance display device which is easily used even by a beginner by selecting and displaying either one of zone marks on the basis of a focal length signal outputted according to the switching of focal length and a photographic distance signal outputted according to distance adjustment. CONSTITUTION:A photographic distance signal generating means consists of the conductor patterns 13 and 14-16 of an encoder 10 and a focal length signal generating means consists of conductor patterns 13 and 17. Further, a display driving device 70 which turns on and off distance measurement display frames 77a-77f and a CPU 30 which selects a specific zone mark on the basis of the photographic distance and focal length are provided to constitute a display driving means. A display panel 70 is a LED panel which uses liquid crystal LCD and a distance display mark (zone mark) corresponding to distance measured through a distance detector 20 is displayed by turning on and off a distance measurement display frame.
