PURPOSE:To enable uniform and high-speed coating of a thin layer by incorporating gelatin having an average mol.wt not exceeding a specified value in at least one of photographic constituent layers. CONSTITUTION:At least one of the photographic constituent layers contains gelatin having an average mol.wt. of >=5000 obtained by hydrolyzing collagen of an essential protein for constituting bones, hides, tendons of animals and it is added in an amount of 0.01-50 g, usually and properly, 0.05-5g per 1 kg of coating solution of the photographic constituent layers, preferably, by dissolving it in water, methanol, or a solvent miscible in water, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive coating material to be applied not only at low speed but also at high speed by adding this gelatin and an extremely uniform thin hydrophilic colloidal layer to be formed without causing uneven coating and crawling or beading due to repellency. |
