PURPOSE:To make a conventional head cover unnecessary, to improve work efficiency, and also to obtain the titled mechanism whose quality is stable, by constituting it so that the first magnetic converter does not contact to a recording medium, when inserting and discharging the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:When recording and read-out are not being executed, an arm 11 is raised by a movement of a bail 16 of a solenoid magnet, the second magnetic converter 6 is separated from a recording medium 9, and the abrasion is suppressed. When inserting and discharging the recording medium 9, the arm 11 is further raised by a bridge mechanism and the second magnetic converter 6 is further separated from the recording medium 9. Also, when the bridge is opened, an adjusting screw 20 is raised, a rotary lever 18 is rotated in the direction as indicated with an arrow by a reset use torsion spring 22, the first arm 24 is drawn down and the first magnetic converter 2 is separated from the recording medium 9, and the recording medium 9 can be inserted and discharged without contacting to each magnetic converter 2, 6. In this case, by adjusting the adjusting screw 20, a rotational angle of the lever 18 can be adjusted, and a distance for drawing down the first magnetic converter 2 can be set freely.
