PURPOSE:To easily fit an air inlet and exhaust duct and enable the weight of the dust to be reduced, by a method wherein one of air inlet chambers is provided with one air inlet, and wherein an exhaust chamber is provided with one exhaust hole, and wherein a passage for connecting the exhaust chamber to the air inlet chambers is provided. CONSTITUTION:One of air inlet chambers 9a is provided with one air inlet 8a, and an exhaust chamber 11a is provided with one exhaust hole 10a, and a passage for connecting the exhaust chamber 11 to the air inlet chambers 9a is provided. Cooling air is conducted through the air inlet 8a of the upper section of a ventilation box 1a to the air inlet chamber 9a of the lower section, and the partial air is conducted to another air inlet chamber 9a through the passage. By the air, the heated sections of a stator coil 3 and the like are cooled through a cooling fan 6, and the air is conducted to the exhaust chamber 11a from the central section of a stator frame 2 and is discharged from the exhaust hole 10a of the upper section. Accordingly, air inlets 8a, 10a are provided one by one, and so an air inlet and exhaust duct is easily fitted, and the weight of the duct can be reduced.
