PURPOSE:To make the structure simple and compact and make the adjustment easy to improve the capacity by using a long-sized contact type image sensor in a reading head. CONSTITUTION:A reading head 2 has a structure shown in the figure, and the upper end of a narrow and vertically long substrate 5 longer than a board 1 is connected to the upper end of a reading head driving mechanism 3 arranged on the rear side of the board 1 and is suspended in the side of a blackboard surface 1a and is driven from the right end to the left end of the surface 1a along a driving lead part 6 provided under the connecting part or in the opposite direction. A lens array 7 is buried in the center of an inside part 5b of the substrate 5 so that is faces the surface 1a, and LED arrays 10 and 11 are provided in parallel vertically on bottom faces of left and right recessed parts 8 and 9, and a long-sized contact type image sensor 12 is buried in an outside part 5a, and a photoconductive conversion film 13 of the sensor 12 is arranged to face the rear face of the array 7. Light from arrays 10 and 11 is reflected on the surface 1a, and reflected light passes the array 7 to reach the film 13 and is converted to an electric signal.
