METHOD FOR DIVIDING COORDINATE DATA

PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous entry at the time of specifying the hold diameter by displaying symbol of the center coordinates data for the read hole mark on a display device, and by changing the shape or color of said symbol after completion of specifying the hole diameter. CONSTITUTION:All coordinates data for the center points of hole marks 26 on a read pattern 24 are displayed on the image field of a graphic display 32 upon symbolization. The lacation signal for the center point of each hole mark to be identified divisionally on the pattern 24 is entered in a computer using a tablet type coordinate analyzer 28. On the basis of this location signal, the read coordinates data corresponding to the center point of said hole mark are placed in a file of memory grouped by different hole diameters. The symbols being displayed on said display corresponding to the coordinates data for center points of hole marks with grouped completed are changed. This can prevent generation of erroneous entry of data grouping.
