PURPOSE:To uniformly cool and to obtain constant laser characteristics by providing a heat exchanger for cooling coolant drain once fed to a cooling jacket and becoming high temperature and supplying again the coolant to the jacket, and forming a cooler in a closed cycle. CONSTITUTION:A laser tube 1, a cooling jacket 2 surrounded on the tube 1, a laser power source 3, a pair of light resonators 4a, 4b, a radiator having a pipe 9 connected with the jacket 2 and having a heat sink fin 8 for forcibly cooling coolant 7a therefrom, and a blower fan 10, a pump 11 for feeding the coolant 7a in the radiator to the jacket 2, and a flexible tank 12 provided between the pump 11 and the jacket 2 for regulating the cooler internal pressure are provided. Thus, the coolant in the cooler filled first with low temperature coolant becomes high temperature, and is returned to the radiator having the heat exchanger and the fan, continuously circulated so that the heat from the laser tube is balanced with the heat dissipated by the exchanger, and the coolant temperature becomes constant at the prescribed value. |
