PURPOSE:To project the horizontal sectional shape of vanes on a film by fitting a soft lead wire along a measurement place and irradiating radiation. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic turbine runner is installed horizontally on a surface plate 5. Then, the lead wires 2 are fitted to the measurement section with a tape. In this case, the measurement section and vanes of the hydraulic turbine runner to be measured can be operated at plural positions simultaneously. Then the film is placed on the surface plat4e 5. A ray source 1 is installed at a distance from a main body as much as possible to irradiate rays. The irradiation condition varies with the size and thickness of a product and, for example, the ray source 1 irradiates gamma rays of 12 MeV for an irradiation time of one minute at an irradiation distance of 3,000mm when a film with #100 sensitivity is used. Consequently, a measurement is taken even in a rust state wherein there are a gate riser and excessive thickness and an expensive profile gauge is unneeded, shortening an operation time to half.
