PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly detect normality of one camera device.SOLUTION: A camera device 2 mounted on a railway vehicle comprises: an optical lens 6; an image pickup device 7 which converts an optical video of a subject 5 made incident from the optical lens 6 into electrical signals; and a video signal generation unit 8 which generates video signals on the basis of an output from the image pickup device 7. The camera device 2 further comprises: a rail video extraction part 9 which extracts video signals of a rail included in the video signals; and a normality determination unit 10 which determines that the camera device 2 is normal if video signals of a predetermined rail R are extracted by the rail video extraction part 9 and determines that the camera device 2 is abnormal if the video signals of the predetermined rail R are not extracted by the rail video extraction part 9. |
