发明名称 PRODUCTION OF SUPERCONDUCTIVE WIRE
摘要 PURPOSE:To easily produce a long-sized superconductive wire by passing a superconductive wire into the melt of an oxygen free copper to from a superconductive composite wire having an oxygen free copper coating layer and reducing diametrally such wire then packing many pieces thereof into an oxygen free copper pipe and reducing again diametrally the wires. CONSTITUTION:The long-sized material of the Nb-Ti superconductive wire 6 is passed through a surface cleaning device 7 in a vacuum chamber A, by which impurities, etc. sticking to the surface are removed to clean the wire. Such wire 6 is inserted into a crucible 1 contg. the molten oxygen free copper 2 through a through-hole 1a thereof to form a composite strand 9 having the coating layer of the oxygen free copper on the surface. The strand is passed through the inside of a chamber B in which an inert gaseous atmosphere of Ar, etc. is maintained. The strand is thereby cooled. After such strand 9 is diametrally reduced by rolling and drawing, the wire is cut to plural pieces. The plural cut wires are packed into the oxygen free copper pipe 15 and are again diametrally reduced. The long-sized superconductive wire 16 is thus inexpensively produced by the simple method.
