PURPOSE:To obtain high throughput by using a small-sized inexpensive line feed pulse motor, by detecting the temp. of a line-feed motor to compare the same with preset temp. and controlling a rotational speed so as to make the same low if the detected temp. is higher than preset temp. until said detected temp. becomes low. CONSTITUTION:A thermistor TH1 detects the temp. of a line feed pulse motor M2 and, when the detected temp. is higher than preset temp., that is, at the point of time when the temp. of the motor has reached a definite value, voltage V<-> becomes lower than referent voltage V<+> and the output of the comparator CMP1 connected to the input port HTMP-P of a control microprocessor CPU is reversed to detect that the temp. of the motor is higher than the preset temp. and the control microprocessor CPU controls the rotational speed of the line feed pulse motor M2 so as to make the same low. Line-feed speed control is performed until the temp. of the motor reaches the preset temp. or less. Even if a small-sized low cost line feed motor low in allowable loss is used, line feed can be performed at a high speed in general printing and, therefore, high throughput can be realized and, even when line feed was continuously performed, burnout of the line-feed motor by heating can be prevented. |
