PURPOSE:To prevent liquefying of ground, by a method wherein a drain column is driven in sand layer ground which is located below a footing for supporting a structure and has a fear of such ground being liquefied, along the outer periphery of the footing, and a water permeable pit is installed to the upper part of the drain column. CONSTITUTION:Drain columns are driven at proper intervals in a sand layer 4, where there is a fear of the ground being liquefied, along the outer peripheral wall of a footing 2a on the upper part of a foundation pile 1, and the head part of the drain column 5 is spread to form a spread part serving as a water permeable pit 5a. When a drain column 5 is built, after a casing 10 is driven in the ground by means of an exciter 12, gravel, fine pebbles, slag and other material are charged in the casing 10, and with a cover 11 opened the casing 10 is pulled off. |
