PURPOSE:To reduce erroneously reading errors by arranging a variable resistance installed so as to control linearly the write current value of a head so that said resistance can interlock with the seek mechanism of the head and setting the changing amount of the write current value so that a change in resolution can be corrected. CONSTITUTION:A VR variable plate 8 is fixed on the carriage 4 of the head seek mechanism composed of a step motor 5, a steel belt 9 and a carriage 4, and causes the knob of a slide VR 7 movable. Thus, when the head 4 is sought, the resistance value of the slide VR 7 fluctuates by interlocking with said seeking. The slide V$ 7 acts as a resistance setting the write current of a data writing circuit, and by changing the resistance value, the write current can be controlled. |
