PURPOSE:To enhance sharpness and graininess by laminating a silver halide emulsion layer lower in sensitivity containing a 2-equivalent magenta polymer coupler and a silver halide emulsion layer higher in that containing a multi- equivalent magenta coupler on a support. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide color photographic sensitive material is formed by laminating a silver halide emulsion layer lower in sensitivity containing a 2-equivalent magenta polymer coupler and a silver halide emulsion layer higher in sensitivity containing a >=4-equivalent magenta coupler on a support. At that time, it is necessary for both silver halide emulsion layers to have substantially same color sensitivity, and it is preferred that the difference of sensitivity between both is about 0.1-0.6 in terms of log E, and a silver to coupler molar ratio is 30-200 in the lower sensitivity layer and about 4-50 in the higher sensitivity layer. |
