PURPOSE:To prevent the leak of liquid by arranging a valve body so that the direction for closing the valve and the direction of flow of discharged liquid accord, thus allowing the valve body to be pressed onto a valve seat even if the upstream side of the valve body forms the positive pressure state. CONSTITUTION:A valve body 19 is formed into T-figure form on section from an operating rod 19c having a screw part 19b screw-connected to a fixed member 19a at one edge and a valve piece 19d installed at the other edge of the operating rod. As for said operating rod 19c, a communication port 8a for the communication between a flow passage 9 and a pump chamber 18 penetrates through, and the operating rod 19c holds the valve 19d on the flow passage 9 side, and is formed so as to open and close a valve seat 8d from the upstream side of the flow passage. Since the direction for closing the valve body 19 and the direction of flow of fluid are allowed to coincide, a positive pressure acts in the direction for pressing the valve 19d, and leak of fuel outside from a drain pipe 7, passing through an drain valve apparatus, can be prevented.
