PURPOSE:To obtain the titled apparatus not requiring the operation of a cleaning change-over valve, by providing a cleaning air jet pipe having a large number of air jet orifices to the center of filter cloth in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust gas flowed in through an exhaust gas inlet 7 rotates along the inner wall of a main body casing and subsequently flows toward the inside center of the casing 4 and passes through filter cloth 3 to remove foreign matters in the gas. The purified exhaust gas passes the central part to be guided to the exhaust gas outlet 8 provided to the lower part of the casing 4 and flows out to the outside of the apparatus. A cleaning air jet pipe 5 having a large number of air jet orifices in the axial direction thereof is suspended in coaxial relation to the center of the filter cloth 3 so as to be capable of being rotated by a drive apparatus 10. Therefore, foreign mattes adhered to the inside of the filter cloth 3 are blown off by the air injected through the jet pipe 5 to be gathered in the vicinity of a foreign matter exhaust port 9 and can be discharged during the operation.
