PURPOSE:To always obtain a stable color adjustment by making the level of color burst in a compound video signal possible to keep at a regulated level and making the level of subcarrier possible to set at a required level. CONSTITUTION:A color stabilizing compound video signal F outputted from a color corrector 1 in which the level of color burst (g) of a correction chroma signal D outputted from a signal correcting circuit 28 is set by a color burst level setting means 12 and the subcarrier level of the signal D set by a subcarrier adjusting means 26 respectively, the color burst level of which is set at a regulated level, for example, 0.15-0.16Vpp by the color burst level setting means 12 and also, the subcarrier level of which is adjusted within a prescribed range (h) independently by the subcarrier adjusting means 26. Thereby, the outputted color stabilizing compound video signal F is stabilized without being influenced by an original compound video signal A.
