PURPOSE:To reduce widely a bearing load, and reduce oscillation and noise, by forming a shallow groove or a flow route, as it is unsymmetrical to the center of a shaft, in a rotary device which has a static pressure bearing. CONSTITUTION:A rotary device has a shaft 31, a housing 33 which holds this shaft 31, and a shallow groove 32 formed on the outer surface of said sheet 31. Moreover, this rotary device has a static pressure bearing which is formed of a lubricating fluid flow route 37. The shallow groove 32 or the flow route 37 is formed as it is unsymmetrical to the center of the shaft 31. Openings 38 are arranged as the load in the radial direction of the shaft 31, which is made by the static pressure bearing, acts in the direction which eliminates the load in the radial direction of the shaft 31, by the fluid pressure generated in a compression chamber. In this way, the bearing load is reduced widely, and at the same time, oscillation and noise can be reduced widely.
