PURPOSE:To maintain a stabilized meniscus and to improve an image quality, by providing an ink recycling means which recycles unnecessary ink around the tip of a slit-shaped nozzle. CONSTITUTION:If an image formation is started, opposed roller-shaped electrodes are supplied with electricity, and a reflected light from a copy pad 56 by a lens array 53 is introduced and a dark portion of the light image information is put into a photoelectrical conductivity film 24, then a voltage is applied to individual electrodes 27 in longitudinal direction at the tip of slit-shaped nozzles 21 which correspond to the film, and to individually opposed electrodes 38; and an ink 18 is positively electrified and the ink flies to a recording paper 48. On the other hand, if a bright portion of light image information is put in, a voltage between the individual electrodes and the common electrodes 26 becomes zero, and the link 18 is not electrified, resulting in no flying. Thus, during the image formation by ink 18 on the recording paper 48 with the light image information received, the ink droplets 18 at the tip and around the nozzle 21 are absorbed by the felt pads 37b, 38b and 41b correspondingly to the flying directions, and they never accumulate. |
