<p>PURPOSE:To attain the quick control of a cursor without releasing the fingers from a keyboard by providing two band-shaped area and pressing and shifting them by fingers and therefore producing the pulse signals for shift of the cursor. CONSTITUTION:The belt-shaped area 1a and 1b are provided and a part of each area is pressed by a finger and shifted forward or backward in the lengthwise direction. Thus the pulse signals are produced from the corresponding pulse signal generators 2a and 2b in response to the direction and amount of said shift of the area. An encoder 21 in a keyboard fetches onto only the state of a key group 11 but the outputs 24a and 24b of generators 2a and 2b. If a pulse is produced at one of both output lines of generators 2a and 2b, the information exchanging code decided from the type of the relevant signal line and the key which is pressed at that time point is delivered through an output line for information exchanging code. These two areas 1a and 1b can facilitate easy vertical and horizontal shifts of a cursor. Furthermore, both areas set adjacent to each other can be operated just with a single finger to attain a high-speed shift in the oblique direction.</p> |
