PURPOSE:To prevent the defects of a weld zone by incorporating prescribed % of 1 or >=2 kinds among Al, Mg and Zr in addition to specific wt% each of C, Mn, etc. into a titled flux and adding Ti, Ni, etc. thereto according to need. CONSTITUTION:C contributes to the improvement of a deposited metal and Mn contribute to the improvement of mechanical properties with the desulfurization effect thereof in the stage of welding rusted steel sheets or painted steel sheets. The flux-cored wire is formed of the compsn. into which <=0.20% C, by the total weight of the wire, 0.30-1.50% Si, 0.50-3.00% Mn, 3.5-8.5% TiO2 are incorporated and 1 or >=2 kinds of 0.2-1.05Al, 0.20-0.50% Mg and 0.01-0.50% Zr are incorporated as essential components. The Al and Mg act as the powerful deoxidizing agent to suppress the generation of the defects by stirring the molten pool. The generation of the defects in the weld zone is thereby prevented.
