PURPOSE:To make a documentation device multifunctional to use it effectively by providing an interface for connection to an external device and a processing switching part. CONSTITUTION:All processings are controlled by one central processing unit CPU 20. When this device is operated as a documentation device, a processing switching device 10 indicates a documentation processing part 11, and input and editing work for documentation, data storing work, and printing work are performed by functions of this documentation processing part 11. If data which indicates printing is inputted through a print interface 3, the processing switching device 10 indicates a print processing part 12, and the print processing is possible. If data which indicates data read from a storage device 18 and data storage is inputted through an input/output interface 5, the processing switching device 10 indicates a storage and call processing part 13, and storage and call processings are possible.
