CORONA DISCHARGING ELECTRODE OF ELECTROSTATIC RECORDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To satisfy the performance necessary for an electrostatic charging electrode and a transfer electrode and to form a copy image having good quality by changing a corona discharging electrode between a scorotron and a corotron. CONSTITUTION:The corona discharging electrode 2 has its grid electrode 5 arranged between a beltlike photosensitive body 1 and a wire electrode 4 for discharging during electrostatic charging operation and then operates as the scorotron a voltage applied to the grid electrode 5 is adjusted to a discharging current, charging electrostatically the beltlike photosensitive body 1 successively. The charged beltlike photosensitive body 1 is processed by exposure and development under copy process control to form an original image. Then, the corona discharging electrode 2 operates as the transfer electrode to transfer the original image to recording paper P. In this case, the corona discharging electrode 2 operates as the transfer electrode set as the corotron. Namely, the grid electrode 5 is moved by a rocking lever 6 away from between the beltlike photosensitive body 1 and discharging wire 4.
