PURPOSE:To eliminate remarkably the effect of surrounding noise by adjusting freely the distance between a microphone and a speaker and the mounting angle. CONSTITUTION:In tightening manually the microphone/speaker section 12 of an acoustic coupler to the transmitter/receiver of an opposite telephone set by means of a magic tape 4, an always proper pressing force is obtained. Further, in separating the microphone/speaker section only from the acoustic coupler while leaving a logic section, it is not required to store the logic section in an independent case and for example, the logic section may be housed in the case of a data processing terminal equipment utilizing the said acoustic coupler. In this case, the number of pins of the interface between the microphone/speaker section and the data processing terminal equipment is simplified into 5 pins (25 pins in a conventional acoustic coupler).
