PURPOSE:To obtain a compsn. which does not interfere with vulcanization characteristics and gives a rubber elastomer having excellent elasticity and resistance to heat and wear, by blending a diorganopolysiloxane, a silica filler, a siloxane-treated hydrophobic layer powder and an org. peroxide. CONSTITUTION:A silicone robber compsn. consists of 100pts.wt. diorganopolysiloxane (A) having a viscosity of 100cSt or above (25 deg.C), represented by an average compositonal formula I [wherein R is an (un) substitued monovalent hydrocarbon group; a is 1.98-2.02), 5-200pts.wt. silica filler (B), 5-100pts.wt. siloxane-treated hydrophobic laminar mineral powder (C) and 0.1-10pts.wt. org. peroxide (D). The mineral powder (C) can be obtd. by treating a laminar mineral powder with an organopolysiloxane of formula II (wherein R<2> is R<1> or H, OH, a hydrolyzable group, etc.; m is 0-100; n is 0-100; m+n>=1, when n=0, R<2> is X). |
