摘要 PURPOSE:To safely and surely separate a lens from a matrix without breaking the matrix by a method wherein ultrasonic vibration is applied to the matrix or the lens so as to separate the matrix and the lens from each other by utilizing the difference between the times of propagation of the ultrasonic vibration through the lens and through the matrix. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic phone 3 is brought into pressingly contact with the edge surface of a lens 3 so as to apply the ultrasonic vibration generated by an ultrasonic vibrator 1 through a booster phone 2 to the lens. Concretely, the amplitude of the ultrasonic vibration generated in the ultrasonic vibrator 1 is enlarged by the booster phone 2 and transmitted to the ultrasonic phone 3, from the tip of which ultrasonic vibration is applied to the edge surface of the lens 4 so as to cause the lens 4 made of plastic and matrixes 5 and 5a made of glass to vibrate in modes different from each other because of the difference between the propagation speed of the ultrasonic vibration through the lens 4 and that through the matrixes 5 and 5a in order to peel the lens 4 off the matrixes 5 and 5a and to separate the lens 4 from the matrixes 5 and 5a.
