PURPOSE:To detect the position of a lens under non-contacting state and to increase durability by fixing a focus ring provided to the outer periphery of a lens barrel body and a photosensor which is provided to a zoom ring and faces a light and shade pattern part at specific positions. CONSTITUTION:Light and shade pattern parts 11a-11c and 12a and 12b are provided on the circumferences of the focusing 11 and zoom lens 12 provided to the lens barrel body 19 so that they shift axially. Photosensors 13 and 14, and 15 and 16 consisting of light emitting parts and photodetecting parts for detecting light and shade are fitted to a fixed member 18. The focus ring 11 is stored to detect the position of the focus ring 11 from the combination of the presence and absence of outputs of the photosensors 13 and 14, thereby detecting the position of the lens. The position of a zoom lens is detected similarly as to the zoom ring 12. Thus, the detection is performed under non-contacting state and durability and stability are improved. |
