PURPOSE:To improve comfortableness to ride at a light load by inserting a stopper member displaceable up and down in response to a live load between a leaf spring and a car body in a leaf spring type suspension device. CONSTITUTION:A stopper member 14 is provided on a chassis frame 1 along an axle 4. This stopper member 14 is constituted so as to be hydraulically movable up and down. In this constitution, pressure oil is fed to an oil chamber 20 at a heavy load, and the stopper member 14 is depressed to approach the axle 4. Thereby, a gap between the stopper member 14 and the axle 4 is decreased, the stopper member 14 and the axle 4 are brought into contact by the slight deflection of a leaf spring 6, and a spring constant equal to the sum of spring constants of the leaf spring 6 and the stopper member 14 is applied. On the other hand, at a light load the stopper member 14 is lifted not to be brought into contact until the leaf spring 6 is largely deformed. Accordingly, comfortableness to ride at a light load is improved. |
