PURPOSE:To reduce the difference between an upper temperature and a lower temperature in a heating chamber during a cooking operation and decrease an entire cooking time by a method wherein in case that a food is stored in a heating chamber to start a cooking operation after completion of preheating operation, a control part for controlling a supplying of electricity of a heater is operated to continue supplying of electricity to the heater irrespective of a sensed temperature for a predetermined time after starting of a cooking operation. CONSTITUTION:A program is made such that, after start of cooking, a sensed temperature of a temperature sensor 4 is ignored for a certain period of time, and an upper heater 3a and a lower heater 3b are energized. In this way, the preheating operation is completed and just after a cooking operation, the sensed temperature of the temperature sensor 4 is ignored and the upper heater 3a and the lower heater 3b are forcedly turned ON for a specified period of time, thereby a rapid variation in temperature within the heating chamber at the beginning of the cooking operation can be prevented and thus a proper temperature control for an oven cooking operation can be realized. Making of a specified period of time for forcedly switching ON the upper heater 3a and the lower heater 3b just after starting of cooking operation enables an entire cooking time to be reduced.
