The invention relates to a device which relieves lumbar pain caused by the concavity of certain chairs. It consists of a single article made by moulding flexible and strong rubber. It has the rear part 6, 7, 8 and 9, the longest of the device, convex and chamfered in thickness H along the direction of the length F, with the ends 6 and 5 in the shape of a wing. The rear thickness H, convex downwards in length F, thins towards the ends 6; according to certain variants, the rear thickness H varies between 2 and 8 centimetres depending on the type used. Furthermore, the rear thickness H decreases in the direction of the width G towards the front of the part 10. It is provided with a flat top 1, with the front 2 and 4 straight, and the corners 3 rounded; the bottom 11 is flat and thin.
