This device for managing information on a visual display unit of a computer is characterised in that it comprises means for detection 33 of information given out by the processor 16 of a first computer, intended to control a write logic operation of the latter, means 19, 21, 23 intended to disconnect the part of the processor of the first computer concerned with this data from the rest 15 of the first computer in such a way as to prevent this operation, memory storage means 28, 29 for this information, and means for conversion of this information which is stored in memory into information which is compatible with the write logic of the first computer, these conversion means being connected to the said write logic of the first computer so that this write logic carries out the said operation. During a read operation, the memory storage means 28 are connected to the part in question of the processor 16 of the first computer. <IMAGE>
