摘要 PURPOSE:To sustain the relationship of load transmission between a vehicle and the road surface which is obtained during the four wheel drive mode, even during parking of the vehicle, by providing a first parking device for inhibiting the rotation of a first output shaft and a second parking device for inhibiting the rotation of a second output shaft. CONSTITUTION:A parking device P2 for inhibiting the rotation of a rear wheel side output shaft 25 is composed of a parking gear Pg formed around the outer peripheral surface of a clutch drum 42, and a parking lock ball Pb which is adapted to engage with and disengage from the gear Pg. A second parking device P2 is composed of a parking lock ball 93 and a parking gear 92. Both devices in combination inhibit the rotation of a clutch drum 84 integraly incorpo rated with a front wheel side output shaft 26, and the parking lock ball 93 is associated with the rear side parking brake P1 to allow four wheels to be all locked simultaneously, thereby it is possible to surely stop the vehicle even on a steep slope.
