Device which can be fitted to any automotive or towed vehicle comprising a guide 1 with grooves 2 connected to a steering box 3. This guide which is inserted into a casing with balls 4 and is connected to the wheel pivot also comprises grooves on the walls of its hollow part. The insertion of balls 5 in the complementary grooves of the guide and of the casing allow sliding of the casing in the direction of the guide whilst rendering the guide and the casing securely fastened in the rotational direction. The possibility of sliding in the direction of the guide makes it possible to conserve the basic parallelism of the wheels, regardless of the variation in ground clearance or the amount by which the terrain is not level. <IMAGE>
