PURPOSE:To obtain the titled food attached with food pieces, having excellent appearance and palatability and resistant to the peeling off of the attached food pieces from the food, by coating the surface of a processed meat product or other food with double coating layers, and attaching spices and various other food pieces to the coating layer. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a solid food such as processed meat product, fish paste product, cake or other solid food is coated with a solution containing a binder such as gelatin, xanthan gum, pullullan, etc., and food pieces such as spices, pieces of fruit, crushed beans, pieces of dried vegetable, etc., are attached to the surface of the food by the aid of the coating layer. The coating layer on the food surface is solidified and if necessary, dried. A solution containing a binder is heated at 60-100 deg.C, and the solid food attached with the food pieces is immersed in the solution for 1sec-10min to coat the surface again with a coating layer, which is solidified to obtain the objective food. |
