PURPOSE:To offer service to many subscribers without suppressing a number program while the incoming number given to the subscriber may be only one by using the identification number instead of using the conventional backnumber. CONSTITUTION:A subscriber 102 contained in an electronic exchange 104 calls and dials the number of a receiving subscriber 101, then, the call is received by an input trunk 105 of an electronic exchange 103. The electronic exchange 103 indexes the registered table stored at an external memory 110 based upon the received receiving number. At such a time, when the identification number is not registered, the receiving connection is executed, when the number is registered, the indication to receive the identification number is generated through a data network or a common line signal network 109 to an exchange 104 in which a calling subscriber 102 is contained, and at a calling station 104 side, by giving the indication to dial the identifying number to the calling subscriber 102, the identification number of the receiving subscriber is received, the identification number is sent to a incoming station 103, the receiving station collates the identification number recorded in the subscriber file with the identification number, when the number is coincident, receiving is executed to the subscriber and when the number is dissident, the busy tone is sent.
