PURPOSE:To judge whether or not a burner tip is suitable by installing a table on a traveling cart so that the table can be lifted up or down and installing on the table a conveyor furnished with a unit to pull out burner guns and a unit to insert burner guns and also loading the cart with an inspection unit and a cleaning unit. CONSTITUTION:After placing a cleaning unit 25 at a specified position on a traveling cart 10, a burner gun 3 is set up and the carbon 32 attached to the front face of the burner tip 3a is removed by means of a rotating brush, etc. When a desired cleaning is finished, an inspection unit 24 is positioned at a specified position and the inspection jig is set to the burner tip 3a and each atomizing opening 3b is inspected. The atomizing pressure from each atomizing opening 3 is detected by a sensor 29, and impact values to the sensor 29 are converted into resistance values and they are sent to a signal-treating machine through a cable 30. Variation in the atomizing pressure can thereby be detected in the atomizing opening 3b. Because this variation in pressure is due to the variation in the atomizing opening diameters at each atomizing opening 3b, difference in the atomizing opening diameters can be grasped and it is judged whether or not the burner tip 3z suitable.
